To My Patients,

After serving in the Navy, I came to Citrus County in 1978 with my wife, Judy. I became Citrus County’s first Ear, Nose and Throat specialist and I covered a geographic area far greater than the county, due to the need. In the early years, the hospital was my second home, taking care of trauma cases and life threatening emergencies, as there were no helicopters to transfer patients to major medical centers.

We have been absolutely blessed by a hard-working and caring staff who have served our mission of providing the highest standard of care for each of our patients. They have made patient care their personal passion and not just a job. Our audiologist was with us over 40 years and several employees have been members of our team nearly as long. Robert Dieter, PA-C, our physician assistant, joined us in 2010.

For years we tried to find another ENT physician to join the practice so that we could provide continuity for patients after my leaving active practice. Unfortunately, due to the immense changes in the way that medical care is delivered, we were not successful and we made the difficult decision to close our office in January 2022. This has been a difficult decision for me, as I absolutely love helping each of my patients, but I think this is the best time to proceed; giving me the chance to follow other pursuits such as travel, photography, academic study and more time with my grandchildren, which I cannot do while maintaining an office practice. I wish you much success in finding the care that you need. For a copy of your medical records, phone 352-726-3131 or write to 821 Medical CT E, Inverness, FL 34452

Jeffrey Marcus MDAgain, I sincerely thank you for trusting us with the privilege of being part of your medical care.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey Marcus, M.D., FACS
