Post-Operative Instructions for Facial Surgery
Including Facelift & Eyelid Surgery
- Do not allow water to get on your sutures.
- If there is no dressing on your wound, apply Bacitracin® ointment 3 or 4 times daily.
- Keep your head elevated on 2 or 3 pillows, or sleep in a reclining chair for at least a couple of days after surgery.
- Avoid all products containing aspirin or ibuprofen. Tylenol® is safe to take.
- If you have any bleeding, apply gentle pressure to the wound with gauze or a facial tissue for a few minutes, then gently release. If you continue to have bleeding, call us.
